The shop, Leopold's Ice Cream, was designed by Academy Award-nominated production designer Daniel A. Lomino.[2] Leopold was assigned as unit production manager and executive producer of J.J. Abrams' Star Trek.[3] Before it began shooting, however, Leopold dropped out of the movie and has been replaced by Jeffrey Chernov.[4] Nonetheless, he did receive credit in the film as a Unit Production Manager.
